CHANGE PLOTTERS FROM GOLD TO CLASSIC SOFTWARE

WARNING!
CLASSIC version plotters cannot read Navionics GOLD programmed Compact Flash charts and vice versa, GOLD version plotters cannot read Navionics CLASSIC programmed Compact flash charts.

Instructions to change plotter from GOLD to CLASSIC software ::
In order to change a plotter from GOLD back to Classic, first of all it will be necessary to upload the ROMINIT (BIOS operating file) of the relevant plotter onto a Compact Flash.
After having uploaded the necessary ROMINIT files, download the relevant software files which can be found on our website in the SERVICES / DOWNLOADS / SOFTWARE UPDATES in the Classic software table, in order to change the software from GOLD to Classic.

Instructions for download ::
:: Select file. (The"File Download" Windows dialogue box will open).
:: Select "Save to disk" and click OK. You will obtain the .ASE files.

IMPORTANT!
:: Ensure that there are no other files present in the main directory (eg. E:\) of the Compact Flash.
:: Copy the files into the main directory (eg. E:\) of the Compact flash

To continue update, follow the next steps ::
:: Insert the Compact flash with the files into the plotter.
:: Switch on the plotter
:: Wait for a few seconds. The command to press "ENTER" will appear in order to continue the downloading process.
:: On completion, the command to remove the Compact flash will appear.
:: At this point, it will be possible to download the Classic software on to the plotter.
