CLASSIC TO GOLD

WARNING!
CLASSIC version plotters cannot read Navionics GOLD programmed Compact Flash charts and vice versa, GOLD version plotters cannot read Navionics CLASSIC programmed Compact flash charts.

Instructions to Upgrade plotter from CLASSIC to GOLD software ::
:: Select file. (The"File Download" Windows dialogue box will open).
:: Select "Save to disk" and click OK.

Installing software on the Compact Flash ::
:: If the compressed software files have been downloaded, they must be unzipped before copying them onto the Compact Flash. In this manner, you will obtain the following two files .ASU e .AS2

IMPORTANT!
Ensure that there are no other files present in the main directory (eg. E:\) of the Compact Flash.

To continue update, follow the next steps ::
Update of the GEONAV 11 models
:: Copy the unzipped files (G1xC2G01.ASU and G1x30700.as2) into the root directory of the CF.
:: Insert the CF into the plotter and switch it on.
:: Follow the instructions given on the screen.
:: On completion of the update, both files will be automatically deleted from the CF.
Update of the GEONAV 8
:: Copy the unzipped files (G8xC2G01.asu e il G8x20300.as2) into the root directory of the CF.
:: Insert the CF into the plotter and switch it on.
:: Follow the instructions given on the screen.
:: On completion of the update, both files will be automatically deleted from the CF.

IMPORTANT!
If you wish to utilise the same CF to update other plotters, ensure that you do not insert it into one that has already been updated or that is already switched on.
