Download Instructions:
- Click on a product. (The 'File
Download' dialogue-box will open)
- Select [Save this program to disk]
and click OK.
- Save the file on your Hard disk
drive.
IMPORTANT:
Please check and ensure that there are
no other .ASE
files in the root directory (eg. E:\)
of the CompactFlash/SD with a minimum free space of 128 MB.
- Copy the file on the root
directory (eg. E:\) of the
CompactFlash or SD disk, minimum free space 128Mb.
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS:
Once you have copied the file on your
CompactFlash or SD disk, follow the next steps:
- Insert the CompactFlash or the SD cartridge
with the Software Update file in
the plotter and turn it
on.
- After a few seconds, the plotter
will request you to press the ENTER
key to start the update procedure.
- Press the ENTER key and wait until
the upload procedure is complete (It takes some minutes)
- A message will appear requesting
you to remove the CompactFlash or the SD cartridge
out of the slot of the plotter.
NOTE: If the message does not
appear and the plotter does not restart
automatically, turn off the plotter
manually and then remove the compact
flash.
- Once the cartridge is removed,
the new software will be installed
and the new features
will be available on the chartplotter.
- At this point you can insert the
chart cartridge and start up again
- All routes, tracks and markers present in the marine mode will be lost if not
previously saved on Compact Flash.
- We strongly
suggest he use of a different compact
flash other than the one you have
with the cartography files.
If this is not possible, remember to cancel the software update files after upgrading the plotter, otherwise
the plotter will conduct the software
update cycle, each time the plotter
is switched on.
(1) Insert the CF with the device turned off, than insert the power DC cable: when the battery icon is shown press power button: the sw update starts automatically. Remove the CF only when the battery icon is shown again
(2) With the product update to the present release, the visualization of the built-in world map will pass from a detail of 64NM to 512NM. This difference will be perceptible only when using the plotter without the specific cartography, or in areas not covered by the cartography chosen.
ATTENTION!
If you wish to utilize the same
cartridge to update other chartplotters, DO
NOT insert it into
a plotter that has already been
updated
OR which is already powered on. |
