Designed for powerboats, the GEONAV AP401 is simple to use and install. Automatic compensation of the electronic Geonav AP401-250compass is made by a simple 360° rotation of the boat, while the correction of tidal and wind drift is automatic.
Two NMEA 0183 inputs (NAV1-NAV2 or Wind) are available to connect simultaneously a chart plotter and wind instruments while an NMEA 2000 output is operative with an expansion card.
An auto-diagnostic system continually checks the electronics and an automatic compensating fluxgate makes it possible to navigate as close as possible to the data supplied by the main compass.
When connected to wind instruments, the GEONAV AP401 is designed to follow lay lines automatically and compensates for windspeed angle changes.
