AIS, Automatic Identification System, locates and identifies Geonav SA103any boat that transmits this signal monitoring, on preset VHF marine frequencies, changes of position, names and directions of boats. To receive this information, an AIS receiver is necessary, which in turn transmits to a chartplotter or to a pc in NMEA 0183 format. a "collision alarm" function gives warning of ships passing too near to the boat, thereby, avoiding possible collisions at sea. This function greatly increases safety at sea by helping to avoid collisions at night and in adverse weather conditions but above all in stretches of sea wich are very busy commercial routes.

AIS is compatible with all other products in GEONAV range which have the AIS funcion in NMEA 0183 format: Geonav 5Touring, Geonav 7Wide NET and likewise with the Geonav PC NAV, Geonav POWER, Geonav FISH32, Geonav WIND software.

GEONAV EASY SPLIT
To use the ship's VHF system
Permits the use of the ship's VHF equipment's antenna even with the AIS receiver. An automatic circuit that provides and excludes the receiver when the VHF equipment transmits.

GEONAV EASY AIS
AIS Receiver
The EASY AIS receiver with NMEA 0183 output transfers AIS data to video on the instruments predisposed for such options.
it is fitted with NMEA interface and can set output at 4800 bps or at 38400 bps.
The starting of the LED signals data reception on two separate channels (161.975 and 162.025 MHz) abd the correct power supply of the system (9-28V). it uses a VHF antenna from 50 Ohm with high sensitivity. Frequencies class A, class B. Antenna 50 Ohm with high sensitivity.
